ABEE Construction Manager (Onsite)

About ABEE: We are a full-service Challenge Course, Climbing Wall, Aerial Park and Zip Line tour company. We provide adventure education and experiential program design to educational institutions (K-12 and universities), summer camps, conference and outdoor centers, resorts, commercial amusement operations and more. Our services include design, installation, inspection, operator training and certification, and equipment supply.

Job Summary: Construction Manager (On-Site) will oversee and participate in the construction and safety inspection of Challenge Courses, Climbing Walls,

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, ability to write reports
  • Be able to handle multiple tasks and be motivated, creative, and organized
  • Ability to follow direction and work independently
  • Maintain cohesive working relationship with all company staff
  • Must be a team player and willing to assist in all areas of the company
  • Be able to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
  • Must be comfortable using a wide range of construction tools (e.g., hand tools, chainsaw, power tools, and operate heavy machinery)
  • Willingness to travel
  • Willingness to learn and adapt new methods of installation

Physical Requirements: 

  • Maintain a sufficient level of physical fitness to perform job duties
  • Able to lift and handle up to 75 lbs.
  • Able to work at height, and climb poles and trees with appropriate access
  • Desire to work outside in a variety of conditions throughout the year

Qualifications (Necessary skills and experience required):

  • Carpentry skills
  • Ability to work long hours and irregular shifts in a fast-paced, multi-tasking work environment
  • Ability to read and execute construction off of blueprint plans
  • Industry experience is preferred
