Ropes Course Assistant

I'm looking for a qualified facilitator for a ropes course. Must have ropes course experience equivalent to a Challenge Course Practitioner Level 1 or higher. The position will be running a smart belay ropes course and working with participants of all ages. Must have good people skills and rescue training. Excellent verbal communication skills, strong sense of guest service, problem-solving skills, comfort with working at height, sound decision-making skills and judgment, physically capable of assisting guest retrieval, and can stand for extended periods. Must be able to pass a background check.
The responsibilities of the Assistant include, but are not limited to, welcoming guests to the gear-up location, preparing guests for the activity they are going to participate in, instructing participants in the gear-up process, performing an adequate ground school for each participant, and directing guests to their proper location. This individual is also responsible for checking the participant’s attire (shoes, hair, jewelry, etc.) and delivering information about the gear and the course. Operating the Challenge Course. This individual is responsible for checking the 5H’s (hair, helmet, harness, heart, hardware) and the 4C’s (connections, carabiners, client, communication) and assisting guests throughout participation. The Assistant will be trained and needs to be able to perform a successful course rescue. The Assistant must know how to fully inspect all staff and guest equipment and conduct an opening inspection of the activity they will be operating.
Tucker Foster, the Director of the Ropes course, will be on site every day to assist and supervise.
The course is open 5 days a week from 9 am to 5 pm. It is closed on Sundays and Wednesdays. If housing is needed, please let me know; there may be options to accommodate you.
