Board of Directors Election 2026 - Nominations Open
Two key benefits of ACCT membership are 1) having a voice through voting for representation on the ACCT Board of Directors, and 2) having the opportunity to serve on the ACCT Board of Directors.
Voting is a benefit available to ACCT individual members and to organizational members, including employees who are registered as sub-accounts of the organization. Serving on the ACCT Board of Directors is a privilege only offered to ACCT members and the Executive Director.

A key principle in the voting procedures is that no member may submit more than one vote in a Voting Category. The following guidance applies to Accredited Vendors and Accredited Operations, as well as persons who own or control multiple memberships.
-
The primary representative of an Accredited Operation or Accredited Vendor (“Accredited Member Principal”) is permitted only one (1) vote in the appropriate Accredited Member Voting Category.
-
If they are listed as the Accredited Member Principal, they may not also vote in the General Election Voting Category as a sub-account of the same membership.
-
If they are listed as an Accredited Member Principal of one (1) Accredited Operation and one (1) Accredited Vendor, they may vote once in the Accredited Vendor Member Category and once in the Accredited Operation Member Voting Category.
-
If they are the Accredited Member Principal of multiple accredited organizations in the same voting category (for example, they are the principal of two or more Accredited Operation Members), they may vote as the principal of one (1) in the appropriate Accredited Member Voting Category and once in the General Election Voting Category under another (when listed as a sub-account). No individual may cast more than one (1) vote in the same Voting Category. It is recommended that they assign another employee as the principal for their additional accredited organizations.
-
-
A person who is listed as a principal or sub-account of a non-Accredited Organizational Member or Accredited Member and also has an Individual Membership may only vote once in the General Membership Voting Category. Since they cannot cede their Individual Membership to another individual, it is recommended that they assign another employee to their Organizational Membership (if they have sufficient employees).
-
No person may vote more than once in the General Membership Voting Category, even if they are a principal or sub-account on multiple Organizational or Individual Memberships.
-
When Accredited Members have multiple e-mails listed as the principal, e-mails in the appropriate Accredited Member Voting Category will be sent to those e-mails. Only one (1) account will be allowed to vote in the Accredited Member Voting Category. Ballots for the General Membership Voting Category will be reissued for the remaining parties.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding how to interpret your situation, please contact elections@acctinfo.org or call 303-827-2432.
Voter Eligibility
All memberships must be in Good Standing by January 16, 2026, to be eligible to vote.
For employees of Organizational and Accredited Members to vote in the election under the General Membership Category, they must be added as an inheriting sub-account of the organizational membership by January 16, 2026.
What are sub-accounts?
Sub-accounts are a benefit of membership. ACCT’s member platform refers to them as user accounts and allows you to assign available seats to them. The total number of sub-accounts (seats) provided to a member is based on their membership type and accreditation status. Additional sub-accounts (seats) can be purchased for $52/each per year. Sub-accounts must be employees of the Organizational Member.

Request that the newly added person log in to the ACCT website. Select "Reset Password" and follow the process. Alternatively, new employees can go to the ACCT website and create an account by clicking Login and selecting "Create an Account." If the employee already has an account, they need to log in and update their profile, including their organization. When they select your organization as their company, they will be added to your list. The principal account should log in to ensure they were added correctly and seated (if a new person adds themself to your company, all people in Management Access roles and the Primary Contact role should be notified via e-mail; they will not be in a seat until you assign them one).
