Posted By: Scott Andrews Regulatory Updates,

The Utah Amusement Safety Committee will have a meeting on April 14, 2021 from 9am MDT to 12:00pm MDT. The meeting announcement can be found on the Utah Public Notice website.

The agenda for the meeting is included in the announcement and has a number of items of significant importance to the challenge course, zip line and ropes course industry.

Agenda
*   Welcome
*  Approval of Minutes for March Meeting
*  Discuss How Program Can Address Big Picture Items
*  Aerial Adventure Courses
*  Zip Lines
*  Ropes Courses
*  Treatment Modality vs. Amusement Ride
*  Harmonization of Standards
*  Major Ride Modifications
*  Action Item Updates
*  Roundtable
*  Adjournment

As the content of the agenda has topics of concern in the implementation of this regulation and the scope of who is affected, it is important that members of the challenge course, zip line and aerial adventure community attend this meeting if possible.

This meeting is a regular working meeting of the committee. Comments from the public are not generally accepted except when a member of the public has specific, brief, factual data to share with the committee. For example ACCT staff have shared information about the specific content of the ACCT and ASTM standards as they apply to the proposed rule. While comments will not be taken it is important in this process to be seen, and in doing so to bear witness to the work of the committee.
