PCAL Costa Rica 2026 Recap

Programa De Capacitacion Aire Libre (PCAL) is an international training event created by Dr. Luis D. Acevedo, director of Aire Libre Internacional. The purpose of PCAL is to offer a variety of comprehensive training programs for professionals working in the aerial adventure industry in Latin America, delivered by international providers and trainers. PCAL also provides a space to learn about the latest developments, discover new technologies and solutions, share experiences, and exchange knowledge with industry professionals.

This year’s event was held in Monteverde, Costa Rica from September 21-26th, and we are very grateful that the team at PCAL invited ACCT International to attend and present. Staff Member, Korey Hampton, represented ACCT International at the event, and enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about the industry in Latin America and the experiences and perspectives of the professionals there. It was also a great opportunity to talk with attendees about ACCT Standards, Accreditation and Certification Programs, and member benefits.

We are very grateful to Dr. Luis D. Acevedo and the PCAL team, for being such generous and gracious hosts all week. We also want to say a special thank you to Diego Valverde with Treetopia Park in Monteverde for taking us on multiple adventures, including a zipline tour and elevated canopy walkway at his park. We are already looking forward to the next PCAL event in 2027!
