Membership Dues and Renewal Timeline Changes
Thank you for being a member! Your membership is critical in keeping ACCT strong, relevant, and influential. We are YOUR professional trade association for the aerial adventure and challenge course industry. Your membership supports new efforts in Government Relations, internal standards development, ongoing international standards development participation through the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), accreditation and certification programs, development of educational content, both online and in person, and so much more! We would not be able to do any of it without you, so thank you!
In addition to our thanks, we want to ensure we are providing you with financial clarity and an opportunity for better long-term budgeting. We are implementing two changes: 1.) a renewal cycle that aligns with the standard 30-day invoice cycle and 2.) a ~3% dues adjustment each year based on the recommendation from the Board of Directors. This annual adjustment proposal would prevent much larger increases in membership dues after multiple years and provide our members with insight into future costs. The Board will review and reassess this increase each year.

Important information regarding renewals:
-
We will continue sending renewal notifications 45 days in advance, with the rest of the email reminder timeline adjusted accordingly.
-
Unpaid memberships past their due date will be non-renewed, potentially as early as 14 days after (down from 30 days) to allow for mailed checks.
-
There is still no monetary fee for re-joining after a lapse caused by expiration and non-renewal, but if your membership includes inherited seats, you will need to reassign those seats.
-
If the non-renewal was due to an auto-pay failure because of an expired card, you will not receive the auto-pay discount when rejoining, but you could continue to receive it for future renewals.
-
This new renewal timeline will be implemented between now and the end of May, ensuring that membership renewals due on July 1 will comply. If you’re signed up for auto-pay, it will continue to be charged fifteen days after the invoice is sent, which will now occur right in the middle of that thirty-day window between the renewal invoice and the expiration date.
-
These changes will also be reflected in an updated membership policy.
