Overview:
The ATAP Manager will share the responsibility for the development and delivery of ATAP, KidZip (KZ) for guests visiting the Adventure Center of Asheville. Reporting to the General Manager, the ATAP Manager will support and assist the Adventure Center of Asheville management team with tasks and projects necessary to operate the Adventure Center of Asheville as a safety focused, efficient, exemplary Guest service and profitable business.
Requirements:
- 
Minimum 21 years old 
- 
Minimal of a high school diploma or GED required. Coursework in outdoor recreation is preferred. 
- 
At least 1200 hours of aerial adventure facilitation experience 
- 
Superior Guest service skills and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. 
- 
Excellent organizational and planning skills. 
- 
Ability to provide exemplary service to a wide range of internal and external recipients; should be comfortable troubleshooting effectively and handling a variety of Guest service recovery situations in a manner consistent with Adventure Center of Asheville standards. 
- 
Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced, dynamic department. 
- 
Applicant should have a valid driver’s license. 
- 
Certification in First Aid/CPR will be required. Applicant must either have such certification or be able to be trained and certified prior to start date. 
- 
Computer proficiency in Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets. 
- 
Must be self motivated, exercising initiative in observing and taking care of needed tasks and areas of improvement. 
- 
Demonstrates ability to exercise good judgment; strong problem solving skills. 
- 
Preferred: Experience supervising and scheduling staff/team members and experience with team development 
-

Responsibilities:
Culture
- 
Works with the entire management team to promote and maintain a professional and positive staff culture. 
- 
Communicates with Guests and team members in a positive, courteous manner. 
- 
Handles escalating guest service situations and troubleshoots as needed. 
Training and Technical
- 
Coordinates, delivers, and supervises ATAP and KidZip operations. 
- 
Serves as Asheville Treetops Adventure Park Ranger when needed 
- 
Assists the Leadership Team with the advertising, interviewing, hiring and training of ATAP/KZ Rangers. 
- 
Helps maintain documentation including staff files and training reports 
- 
Works with other managers to conduct regular in-service training for ATAP and KZ. 
- 
Develops and maintains current ability to lead all aerial adventure services at ACA. 
- 
Communicates any course or maintenance requests to General Manager 
- 
Maintains and services ATAP gear and equipment needs. 
- 
Oversees the ATAP daily inspection reports and communicates to the General Manager anything that needs attention. 
- 
Maintains appropriate equipment inventory levels and coordinates the procurement of equipment and materials as needed to operate ATAP/KZ tours effectively.

Complies with all safety procedures related to duties. 
Financial
- 
Completes administrative responsibilities related to ATAP/KZ: work within a budget, contributes to financial reporting, evaluation of tours, and participates in the planning and development of new programs when necessary. 
- 
Works with the General Manager to ensure periodic inspections are done in a timely manner. 
Logistics
- 
Works directly with the other managers on the scheduling of ACA staff to ensure group bookings and special events are properly staffed and labor management goals are achieved. 
- 
Helps the Leadership Team coordinate and lead all ACA groups and special events 
- 
Supports the management team in the coordination and execution of projects in a timely manner to ensure all equipment, facilities, and staffing meet or exceed ACA, ACCT, local, state, or federal standards. 
- 
Operates reservations system to monitor reservations and sell activities. 
- 
Oversees Adventure Center of Asheville office and operations as an MOD as needed
