Zipline Tour Guide | Growth Opportunity in Operations & Management

Pay: Starting at $20.00 per hour, with advancement opportunities up to $30.00 per hour

Tree Limin' Extreme Zipline is seeking qualified, safety-focused candidates to join our team on the beautiful island of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Work high above the rainforest canopy, enjoy spectacular Caribbean views, and help create unforgettable experiences for guests from around the world.

For over 14 years, Tree Limin' Extreme has provided safe, fun, and high-energy zipline adventures to visitors to St. Thomas.

Position Overview

Zipline Tour Guides are responsible for safely leading and engaging guests throughout the course while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service. This role is ideal for physically fit, energetic individuals who enjoy working outdoors and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct course operations in accordance with established safety procedures and protocols

• Properly fit harnesses and helmets, supervise guest equipment use, and conduct safety orientations

• Perform daily inspections of equipment and course components

• Hike, climb, rappel, and zipline throughout the course

• Take photos of guests during their experience

• Assist with course maintenance and other park operations as needed

Requirements

• MUST be available Tuesdays and Wednesdays

• Minimum age: 19

• Previous customer service experience required; recreation, tourism, or hospitality experience preferred

• Excellent communication skills and a professional, team-oriented attitude

• Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs

• Applicants must be at least 5'4" and weigh less than 275 lbs due to the essential physical requirements of the role

Required Training

All new hires must successfully complete Tree Limin' Extreme's mandatory five-day Zipline Tour Guide training beginning October 20. Attendance for all five days is required and nonnegotiable.

Employees must successfully complete this training before working as a Zipline Tour Guide or advancing into management toles.

Growth Opportunities

Tree Limin' Extreme offers opportunities for qualified employees to advance into operations and leadership roles, including Manager on Duty (MOD), Driver, and Maintenance responsibilities, with compensation opportunities up to $30.00 per hour based on qualifications, performance, and responsibilities.

Advanced responsibilities may include:

• Executing MOD procedures and supervising park and office staff

• Assisting with course rescues, evacuations, and incident response

• Managing reservations, guest check-in, waivers, and weight verification

• Assisting with tour guide scheduling

• Supporting a positive team environment and employee morale

• Safely operating company vehicles, including pickup trucks and ATVs, on steep and challenging off-road terrain

• Transporting guests throughout the property in conditions including mud, rain, and uneven surfaces

• Assisting with construction, maintenance, course infrastructure, and repairs

• Using power tools and assisting with repairs to wooden decks and other structures

Maintenance and/or construction experience is required for maintenance-focused advancement opportunities. A clean driving record is required for driving responsibilities.
