Who we are
The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring is an Accredited Operation by The Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT). Individual challenge and achievement is at the core of The Adventure Park guest experience. The Park is an outdoor unguided climbing and zipping adventure which challenges each guest to combine strength, strategy and balance to navigate through their choice of 14 trails and more than 240 climbing elements utilizing the safest available equipment.
Who you are
You are a dynamic, driven individual with a passion for education, and a love of the outdoors. You are also familiar with work at height, worker safety, and fall protection, as well as having experience as a trainer or educator. Taking joy in working with employees to maximize their growth, development, and achievement is at the heart of this position.
What you’ll do
You will plan, organize, schedule, oversee, administer, and document in-house training programs at the park. This includes formal initial training sessions for new Park Monitors, Park Supervisors, and other team members. It also includes ongoing training and development for all levels of staff. You’ll administer training, and also oversee other trainers. At times, you will work with management to make necessary adjustments to the training programs, including syllabi, agenda, and other documentation. As a key member of the Operations leadership team, you are part of the team that assists management in making operational decisions, and planning and executing those strategies.
As a member of the operations team, you will also be responsible for running daily operations on an as-needed basis, including filling in for Park Supervisor call-outs, and helping Supervise during peak periods.

You are flexible and adaptable - able to perform tasks under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism and grace. You’re also comfortable considering and coordinating several aspects of park operations simultaneously.
The good stuff (pay and benefits)
Salary will be commensurate with experience; between $35,000 - $38,220

Paid Time Off
You’ll be a full-time, salaried employee. The schedule is based on a 35-hour workweek, all year round. During peak season, you may be required to work more hours. Expect to work a variety of shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
Possess the skills, experience, and training to be considered a Competent Person with regard to worker safety and fall protection.
Must be comfortable working at heights of up to 65 feet
Must possess experience, training, or certification related to training, education, or similar
Requires standing and moving for an entire shift
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Must be comfortable working outside, exposed to all weather conditions
