Volunteer Opportunities at ACCT International

We have a variety of options that can fit different schedules and interests:

• Annual / Ongoing Volunteer Groups: Year round commitments that provide consistent impact.
• Shorter term Opportunities: Including roles connected to our annual ACCT Conference and time limited projects.

Here’s a quick overview of the different types of volunteer groups we currently offer:

• Committees: Ongoing groups that report to the Board of Directors. They focus on strategic, long term guidance for the association.
• Staff Work Groups: Groups that support ACCT staff in carrying out the daily business and programs of the organization.
• Task Forces: Short term, focused projects with clear timelines, usually formed to address specific initiatives or challenges.
• Affinity Groups: Communities centered around common interests (such as Women of ACCT (WoA), Universal Design/Accessibility/Inclusion, Queer Advocacy & Support, Challenge Course Managers, Facilitated Use, Military & Law Enforcement Veterans, Camp Professionals, Higher Ed., and others). These are great for connection, support, and advocacy around shared passions.

There really is something for everyone at ACCT! Whether you prefer a structured, year long commitment or a shorter, project based role, we can help you find an opportunity that matches your availability and interests.
