Description & Details:
Join us for the BEST SUMMER OF YOUR LIFE in the Santa Cruz Redwoods in California. You’ll make awesome new friends (some from around the world), gain superhero-level leadership skills, and have endless stories to tell.
We operate two camps on our 450 acre property - an overnight camp and a separate day camp. Each camp has two ropes courses and a climbing wall. Courses belay systems range from dynamic to continuous with a wide variety of elements to challenge campers and develop skills. Our senior camper and leadership training program also provides a nice change of pace where our instructors teach campers fundamental skills as a part of their development and training.
General Information
Three positions are open: Ropes Supervisor, Overnight Camp Ropes Coordinator, Day Camp Ropes Coordinator.
Ropes staff are oriented and trained by our Course Manager and long time vendor. The Ropes Supervisor takes an active role in course operations and oversees course operation at both our overnight and day camp. Each camp (overnight and day) has a Ropes Coordinator to lead each team.
Both the Supervisor and Coordinator roles serve as a mentor and hero to our campers who come from near and far. Daily duties include leading course set up and operation, ongoing training, observation, and collaboration. Staff training is led by our challenge course partner vendors with both the Supervisor and Coordinators providing support. All positions require previous ropes course experience and ability to teach and observe staff.
