Joint Statement // Head Rush Technologies & Experiential Resources

Head Rush Technologies and Experiential Resources (ERi)  are working together with ERi’s client in order to establish clear goals and next steps regarding evaluation of the device involved in the 12 July 2021 no-injury incident.  As with every incident, finding out what happened and how to prevent a similar occurrence in the future is the right thing to do for our industry and its participants.

To this end, Head Rush Technologies and a third-party qualified engineer will be examining the TruBlue Speed Auto Belay device in question this week.  ERi will also be in attendance on behalf of their client.

Once the process is complete, we intend to provide our community with the findings of this collaborative inquiry.  This should be expected during the week of 26 July 2021.  We are all committed to full transparency regarding the results of the inquiry.  We believe that this approach will serve to strengthen our industry, as well as promote confidence from our climbing community.
