Overall Function: The Challenge Course Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality experiential programs and ensuring the safe, effective operation of Camp Joy’s challenge course. This role facilitates both low and high elements, supports program development, and maintains strong safety and risk management practices in alignment with Camp Joy and ACCT standards.

Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree, certification, or equivalent experience in education, recreation, outdoor education, or a related field.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience working with diverse age groups and populations.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Camp Joy’s insurability requirements.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain physically active for extended periods.
- Maintain or obtain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications (training provided).
Technical & Safety Requirements:
- Ability to meet ACCT Level 2 Practitioner standards with training, including:
- Recognizing and managing inherent risks in challenge course environments
- Supervising participants at heights up to 60 feet
- Safely maneuvering and assisting participants at height
