Signature Research - Level 1 and Level 2 Certification Training and Testing
Level 1 Certification Course Description:
The Level 1 training targets the knowledge and skills to operate and manage risks of challenge course elements. This comprehensive course covers both Low and High elements, and includes curriculum regarding Inspections, Gear/Equipment, Belaying, Knot-tying, Low Element Facilitation, Experiential Theory, and Emergency Action Plans. At the conclusion, practitioner will have the tools to operate most educational/recreational course elements and the knowledge to test for Level 1 certification.
Certification Pre-requisites:
* Minimum age of 18
* No experience required (Level 1)
Level 2 Certification Course Description:
The Level 2 training targets the knowledge and skills for responding to non-typical situations and participants and for the mentorship of other practitioners. The goal of Level 2 training is to equip practitioners with a range of practical tools as well as the critical problem-solving for problem-solving unusual or emergency scenarios. At the conclusion, practitioners will have the knowledge to test for Level 2 certification.
Certification Pre-requisites:
* Minimum age of 21
* 200+ hours of documented Program Delivery
* Documentation of past formal training and skills verification in challenge course operations from an ACCT PVM.
The Online Low Elements, Level I Certification Challenge Course Practitioners Training/Testing is a 20-hour hybrid course consisting of online work and in-person hands-on testing that is consistent with current Challenge Course Operation Standards as published by the Association for Challenge Course Technology. Up to twelve people may participate in Training/Testing. Trainees must complete the online portion of the training before the in-person testing.
