Professional Bio

Niels Damman is a longtime industry professional and resident of the Pacific Northwest. Dutch by birth, Niels entered the challenge course industry in 1998 as an international camp counselor at a YMCA camp in Oregon. Since then, he’s worked for numerous companies in various geographies as a facilitator, trainer, inspector, course manager, reviewer, and has assisted with a number of builds. In 2015, Niels graduated from Florida International University with an MS in Sports and Recreation Management.

Niels has been active in the Association for Challenge Course Technology since 2005, including serving two terms on the Board of Directors, and several years on the Accreditation and Certification Committee. He joined ASTM International in 2014 and has been a member of the F24.61 committee on Adventure Attractions.

While not working or volunteering, Niels likes spending time with his wife Erin and his kids Liesanna and Jasper. Then, when there’s absolutely nothing else to do, there’s always home maintenance.
