Call for volunteers: Help build the future of standards education!

Posted By: Heather Brooks ACCT Academy, ACCT Updates, Program Updates,

Are you passionate about the ACCT Standards? Do you want to help others better understand what they mean, how they’re used, and why they matter?

We are launching the Standards Education Content Creation Group — a team of dedicated professionals who will help create micro-education content and learning resources designed to make the ACCT Standards, starting with Operation Standards, more understandable and applicable. This is NOT standard development. There are different volunteer opportunities for that through task forces managed by TIRE.

Who We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking volunteers with a working knowledge of the ACCT Operation Standards and how they’re applied in real-world operations, including:

  • Trainers and educators who teach the Standards.

  • Course Managers or Directors who implement them in the field.

  • Experienced practitioners or facilitators who reference them in day-to-day decisions.

  • Inspectors, Operation Reviewers, or those who support operations who utilize the ACCT standards.

We welcome people with different levels of mastery — whether you’re a master educator or someone who uses the Standards regularly but still has questions. What matters most is that you know the Standards and want to help others learn how to use them well.

*This group is not ideal for individuals who are brand new to the Standards or have not yet used them in practice. Our focus is on explaining the Standards, interpreting their intent, and translating them into practical education tools.

What You’ll Do:

There will be different groups within this Standards Education Content Group. You can volunteer for any of the options below or select the one that interests you.

  • Help create educational content.

  • Review content before it is put in training materials.

  • Design, script, and refine short-form training materials.

  • Build resources that work for the whole community.

Time Commitment:

We’re starting to build thoughtfully. Expect 1–2 virtual meetings per month, plus optional working sessions depending on your availability and focus area. Each group will set its schedule to a defined finish line.

Why Join?

  • Be a part of something foundational; the world literally needs you.

  • Share your voice in how the Standards are taught and understood.

  • Collaborate with fellow professionals who care about quality, safety, and clarity.

  • Each meeting will deepen your understanding of the ACCT Standards, which could improve your perspective and role in the industry.
