GOOD NEWS in CDC Cleaning Guidelines

Recently the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published updated guidelines on Cleaning and Disinfecting Your Facility. This document has one significant items for outdoor programs in a section titled “Cleaning and disinfecting outdoor areas.” The section describes simple practices for outdoor spaces.

The guidelines suggest that cleaning wood surfaces is not recommended. Additionally it states that cleaning outdoor playgrounds is also not encouraged.
