Volunteer Opportunities and Application

There are several volunteer groups actively looking for volunteers right now.

  • Insurance & Risk Management Committee
    • Currently seeking: 1-3 members
    • Must have a strong background in the insurance industry or in the risk management field.
    • Group meets 2-4 times per year
  • International Committee
    • Currently seeking: 3 members
    • Call for volunteers Residing and working outside of the United States / from the following jurisdiction: UK, Europe, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, South America
    • Residing and working outside of the United States
    • Group meets Monthly
  • Compliance Committee
    • Currently seeking: 2 members
    • Group meets once or twice a month
  • Membership Work Group
    • Currently seeking: 3-4 members
    • No requirements; experience with marketing, association member recruitment & retention is helpful.

    • Membership work group is a great way to start your time as an ACCT volunteer!
  • PR & Marketing Work Group
    • Currently seeking: 3 members
    • Do you do marketing or Public Relations for a course/organization? Would you like to help ACCT tell its story and help us show how ACCT brings value to the industry, our members, and the public?

  • Academy Development Work Group

    • Currently seeking: 2 members

    • Interest in developing educational and information materials for challenge course industry.

    • Past experience in one or more of the following: marketing, digital media creation, online learning (synchronous and asynchronous), learning management system administration, etc.
    • Ability and commitment to attend monthly meetings and work on projects as assigned
    • Group meets monthly
  • Universal Design, Accessibility, and Inclusion Affinity Group

    • We are eager to continue growing this group, broadening its scope and seek volunteers to be a part of the group in leadership roles.  We don't require any specific skills to volunteer with this group. We only seek a passion for accessibility and inclusion and a desire to help it grow in the industry.

    • Group Meets: 1-2x each year (moving towards quarterly meetings as membership evolves)

  • Queer Advocacy & Support Affinity Group
    • There are current openings for additional leadership volunteers open to all who identify as queer (or use other language such as 2SLGBTQIA+)
    • time commitment is minimal (a few hours a month).
