The Association for Challenge Course Technology offers several memberships to accommodate the needs and demands of stakeholders, organizations, and individuals in the challenge course industry.

PROFESSIONAL VENDOR MEMBER (PVM)

A PVM of ACCT is a company which has successfully completed the Professional Vendor Member Application, including the Accreditation, process. The process includes a stringent review which determines an applicant’s adherence to ACCT Accreditation Policies and Procedures and its good faith commitment to ACCT Standards. Successful completion of this process distinguishes a PVM from other vendors, identifying the PVM as having been found to be highly experienced and competent.

  • Professional Vendor Members receive the benefit of being allowed to register employees to receive benefits. Each registered person must be legally employed by the member organization and listed on payroll. Volunteers and contract employees are not included.

BUSINESS TO BUSINESS (B2B)
VENDOR, SUPPLIER, MANUFACTURER

An organization that provides services or products to operators, vendors, or manufacturers. Common services offered by Vendors include but are not limited to design, installation, inspection, training and certification, operational reviews, engineering and business consulting. Many vendors also provide products direct to operators, and on occasion, direct to consumers.

  • Vendor / B2B Members receive the benefit of being allowed to register employees to receive benefits. Each registered person must be legally employed by the member organization and listed on payroll. Volunteers and contract employees are not included.
     

    The following benefits extend to five (5) registered employees of the organization

    Non-Profit: $295.00/year

    *To qualify for non-profit pricing, the member organization must submit proof that their entity is a legally registered non-profit in their jurisdiction. Proof shall include a letter or certificate of non-profit status from the recognized jurisdictional taxing authority and must be on-file at the ACCT office. Members can upload a PDF of the document during registration or e-mail membership@acctinfo.org.

    Membership includes one (1) master account holder and four (4) additional individuals. Additional individuals may be added to the organization’s membership roster at an additional cost of $50 per additional member.

BUSINESS TO CLIENT (B2C) SERVICE PROVIDER
OPERATOR, PROGRAMMER

An organization offering challenge course/aerial adventure course programs or services direct to the public at a specific site or location. Most operators manage challenge courses that may include but are not limited to low elements, high elements, climbing walls, zip lines, zip line tours, canopy tours, aerial trekking courses, adventure parks, or zip rides or provide experience-based training and development to end users. Their offerings may be further described as educational, developmental, therapeutic, or recreational in nature.

  • Operator / B2C Members receive the benefit of being allowed to register employees to receive benefits. Each registered person must be legally employed by the member organization and listed on payroll. Contract employees and volunteers are not included.
     

    The following benefits extend to five (5) registered employees of the organization

Successful completion of this process distinguishes an Accredited Program from other challenge course program and operation, identifying the Accreditor Program as having been found to be highly experienced and competent.

INDUSTRY STAKEHOLDER / AFFILIATE MEMBER

An organization or entity that has interest or concern in the Challenge Course and Aerial Adventure Course market. Industry stakeholders and affiliates can affect or be affected by the ACCT’s actions, objectives and policies. Included in this category are organizations that are involved in standard setting, regulation and policy making, other trade associations, law firms, supplemental service providers, and amusement park device operators that do not currently provide Challenge Course services.

  • Stakeholder / Affiliate Members receive the benefit of being allowed to register associates which may be employees, volunteers or business associates working at the same organization. Each registered person must an employee, business partner, volunteer or member of the organization.

    The following benefits extend to three (3) registered employees of the organization.

    • One (1) digital licenses to the ACCT Standards and ongoing maintenance during term of membership
    • Receive digital copies of ACCT Publications, Parallel Lines and Clipboard, in your inbox

INDIVIDUAL MEMBER

A practitioner, student, or interested party who is not directly affiliated with an organization which delivers challenge course programming or provides services to the marketplace, or a person who is employed by an organization which offers programs and services in the challenge course industry, but those services, programs, and products are ancillary to the organization’s purpose and represent less than 15% of the organization’s annual revenue. Examples may include but are not limited to: a student, retired person, contract facilitator/trainer/builder not tied to a single organization and legally defined as an independent contractor, landscape architect putting together a bid, engineer trying to gain insight into the market, perspective operator interested in entering the field/market. Individual members cannot be associated with an organizational membership.

  • Individual: $85.00/year

    Student/Senior: $65.00/year*

    *To qualify for senior pricing, the member must be 65 years of age. To qualify for student pricing, the member must be enrolled, full-time in a secondary, undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate program. Full-time shall be defined as 12 or more credits per annum for undergraduate studies and 16 or more credits per annum for graduate or post-graduate studies.
